Marlene Effiwatt is from Tucson Arizona. She holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where she was a Provost fellow. She is currently the recipient of a Pflughaut Fellowship in Poetry. Her work has appeared in PromptPress and The Iowa Review.
